Long Eared Owl
Though the stare of an owl always seems to be piercing, it was the intricacy and subtlety of the feathers surrounding the eye that I wished to capture. I felt that a hint of the eye would be enough to provide a sense of this Long Eared Owl (Asio otus), whilst not distracting from the amazing lines and colours of the feathers.
