The misty rain gave this blue Iris (Iris sp.) quite a dowsing, covering its huge petals in droplets of water. The all-important pollen was almost completely shielded; only a couple of droplet managed perch on top of the anthers. The rest of the droplets on the petals give a beautiful bumpy texture and a lovely refraction of soft light.
All in all, it was a image worth braving the worst of the rain for!
