As I patiently crouched to the side of a seemingly innocuous tree, I began to be dimly aware of the number of odd looks I was getting from people walking by in this particular park. With my camera focused on the tiny ants busily scurrying up and down the tree, I brushed aside their gazes and continued waiting for the perfect moment to capture an image. Thinking back, it must have seemed quite odd to see me staring so intently at what seemed to be not very much.
The cracks and grain of the wood really make this something special for me; the texture of the wood is further emphasised and enhanced by the graininess and high contrast treatment of the image.
