Chives
The purple bloom of the chive (Allium schoenoprasum) is a most wonderful thing, giving an extra reason to grow these aliums anywhere you can. The smallest member of the onion family, the chive has wonderful purple blooms that go wonderfully with the bold green stalks. I really liked the way the myriad of purple bursts go more and more out of focus as they go further back.
